One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a bluffing who done it type of game where a round can be played in just minutes, but the game can be played all night. The way the game play works is that each player is given a role, two of which might be werewolfs. Everyone secretly looks at their cards, then puts them face down and closes their eyes… Then the fun begins. Play is assisted by a free iPhone app which leads the players through a night. Each character has a specific role, such as secretly switching two players cards or peeking at one other players cards. After each player secretly completes their role everyone wakes up. Players then discuss what happened and try to figure out who the werewolf is. What makes this game fun is that everyone has only one pice of the information and must trust their fellow players, at least one of which who will be lying. The round ends with everyone accusing someone of being the werewolf. If the majority of players correctly guess the werewolf, they win the round. If the werewolf is able to trick the majority into voting for an innocent villager, the werewolfs win the round.
What makes this game so fun is trying to figure out who is lying and who is telling the truth. I have had lots of fun playing this game with a group of friends as well as family members ranging in ages from 10 to 60 years old.
